This component will aim to support our participating countries, from a global to a local level, to develop the capacity, tools and knowledge to meet their targets on IWRM, water supply and sanitation. The project will utilize existing networks of IWRM projects to identify and share best practices and lessons, particularly in relation to the selection of more suitable and applicable technologies as well as water resource management/use methodologies.
Interregional dialogue will be established with other global initiatives (i.e. in partnership with the Alliance of Small Island States – AOSIS), and learning exchange programmes and/or twinning activities between small islands, including the ones located in other regions, will be established.
Trainings will organised at regional and national level based on needs assessment.
At the national level, a consultative dialogue will be established as the main mechanism for engaging and sensitive national stakeholders in IWRM & WUE related issues.
